Followed up with the same great experience with Rosie and Ed as the sale and work on the campervan went through. First Class Service from Start to Finish
From my first (of many) calls with Rosie, then to John and then to meeting Ed at Camper King to spec the van the guys were brilliant. The communication was great, they kept me up to date, offered advice, answered all my questions and kindly got some fuel in my van (during the 'shortage' in October) to enable me to get on the road back to Scotland. As a customer I felt that nothing was too much trouble and made the whole experience of buying a van, from the other end of the country without even seeing it a simple one. And the van - well it's brilliant a great conversion and I love it. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending these guys to anyone. Thanks!

Recently bought a camper van from Moorlake after a great deal of searching and research. We popped by Moorlake one Saturday and met John who was absolutely brilliant in talking us through both the stock they had, but more importantly, what they could do with sourcing a van and getting it converted by Camper King who they use. Within 5 min of driving away John had sourced a choice of 2 T6 Transporters with all the spec and mileage we had asked for. We chose one and then was invited up to Camper King headquarters to meet one of Johns associates, Ed to choose all the internal colors, trim and wheels. Both the experience at Camper King and the help given by Ed was exemplary. A few weeks later John personally picked us up from the train station to collect our totally brilliant new T6 conversion camper. Even when we had a minor teething problem with the van, John drove all the way down to Bournemouth from Watford to personally come and fix the problem. If you want fantastic service, trustworthy knowledge and advice and high professional integrity across the board I couldn't recommend these guys any more highly. PS. The week following in the Lakes and the Peak district in the new van was also a dream

We found an AutoTrader "low price" car on line and called the dealer for more info. We were reticent as we lived 80 miles away, but they couldn't have been more helpful & efficient; made us realise it was worth the drive. Having answered all of our questions, we agreed a price over the phone (should we like the car when we saw it). They agreed an early Saturday pick up to facilitate things and were ready, as promised, with the car perfectly clean & gleaming! They gave us plenty of time to check & test drive the car, with no pressure. The car was exactly as described including 2 keys, full service history and proof it had come from VW finance - and all at a very fair price. This is the benefit of purchasing from a small, privately owned business who are committed to high customer service & open-ness. We would definitely recommend them. We'll be in touch when we need another car; all in spite of the 80 mile drive around the M25! Yes, they are that good!

We wanted a Second hand car for 19 yo son, after much internet investigation we decided the VW Up was a great choice. Moorlake had several in the right price range, age and condition... We were really happy with Moorlake's professionalism, they gave us plenty of time to view the VW cars and any others in stock. There was no pressure to make a purchase and all the paperwork was handled well. A great independent garage, convenient to get too, even from a distance , just off the M25. Purchased an Audi from Moorlake today and I honestly cannot recommend them enough. I phoned up about the car at around 12pm and explained I desperately needed it for the weekend but could not travel to them as I have a newborn baby. I spoke to Adam from the beginning who was very helpful and accommodating for my situation, he delivered the car personally the same day within 2 hours and got himself a cab back. To say that is dedication to customers is an understatement.

I called to view a car a couple of months ago but it sold before I could get to see it. Knowing exactly what I wanted, I left my details and Rosie promised to call should something come up. I wasn't in a hurry and having learned where their stock comes from and their business ethos, I only really wanted to buy from them, so we kept in touch. Moorlake received "˜my' car as Rosie called it Friday evening. She called me Saturday morning and by Saturday afternoon I'd seen it and paid a deposit. Absolutely over the moon with it. Any car purchase, especially for someone that isn't yourself is usually a dreaded experience; from the haggling, to the inspection of the car, to thinking to yourself can you trust these people, it can truly be a lot.

But I can gladly say, buying from Moorlake alleviated a lot of these stresses. I was on the market for a Honda Civic for my mum to use as an everyday, local run-around and came across one at Moorlake. I found Ed to be an extremely trustworthy gentlemen and honest in his dealings which gave us a lot of re-assurance. Included a 6 month warranty in our negotiated price for peace of mind and also before picking the car up insisted on new brakes being put in free of charge and any minor defects being fixed.

Lastly, I would like to give Adam a mention, built rapport well and quite quickly, managed to make the whole process a bit more light-hearted and went out of his way to get us the best deal possible; great guy.

Would gladly buy from Moorlake again and hope to cross paths once more in the future.

I have recently purchase a used car from Moorlake. Following a reasonable amount of research on Autotrader to decide on the make and model I found Moorlake had several cars at good prices. I made an appointment to view the cars the following day and bought a car from them the day after. The cars were as described in the adverts. They were friendly and professional, highlighted issues I should consider and also left me to view the cars without interference or high pressure sales. The transaction and paperwork was handled efficiently and I am now hopeful that my selection will provide me with trouble free, reliable motoring.

Having found the car we wanted on AutoTrader, I contacted Moorlake via SMS out of company hours. They responded immediately and was willing to make us an appointment on a Sunday as we had a two hour drive to view the car. The vehicle was everything as advertised and a sensible price. The sale was agreed and the company facilitated the vehicle documentation including road fund tax and drive away insurance cover, all on a Sunday afternoon! Bought a Tesla S from Ed and John and after some very good natured haggling we finally settled on a deal. A fair price but the car developed a problem (which I hadn't noticed on the test drive) before collection. They insisted on completing the repair at considerable cost to themselves then enhanced the warranty on the car to give me peace of mind moving forward. The environment there is relaxed with no pressure and honesty. Personally I much prefer that kind of seller over high pressure/fancy showrooms
where you can't relax. There were also some nice personal touches which showed real attention to detail. Give them a try, you'll enjoy the experience.

Bought a Cooper S from Ed at Moorlake and the service was second to none. Unfortunately the car had a few issues which they went over and above to resolve. Turned out the car had some major electrical faults which could't be cured unless it went back to BMW. Ed was hugely apologetic and offered me 3 very reasonable solutions; Full Refund, some cash back to take the car to a specialist, or a choice of replacement Minis (nothing took my fancy). I accepted his offer of a full refund which was in my account before I got back to my office (30 yards away). Although I didn't end up with a car from these guys I can only judge them on service which was exceptional. Next time I'm in the market for a second hand car it'll be the first place I go.

I had the pleasure of buying a car from Ed yesterday. I traded in my old car and it wasn't a particularly easy transaction for him as I'd only just paid off the finance, all very complicated but Ed was really helpful, patient, knowledgable and polite.
